Fun Fact:
Did you know that, in colonial times when the pillory was actually used, townspeople would gather around and throw rotten food at the person being punished? Sometimes they’d get so ‘enthusiastic’ throwing rotten eggs, vegetables, and animal guts, that the police would have to encircle the pillory and protect the criminal!
 

Disney's Liberty Square

 

"The Haunted Mansion" is in Liberty Square - though I'm not quite sure why. It's one of the best rides ever!

There's also the "Hall of Presidents" and the "Liberty Belle Riverboat."

Fun Fact: In front of The Liberty Tavern you’ll see a real-live Liberty Tree with 13 lanterns hanging in it. They represent each of the original 13 colonies that became The United States. (The tree is reported to weigh 38 tons but I’d like to know how they weighed it!)
