The Mitsukoshi Department Store Chain of Japan, operates the Mitsukoshi Department Store in Epcot. It’s on the first floor of the building that also houses The Teppanyaki Dining Room upstairs. The building itself is modeled after a part of the Gosho Imperial Palace in Kyoto.
Interesting Fact:
The original Gosho Imperial Palace has an interesting security feature. The floors were deliberately made “squeaky” to warn inhabitants of intruders
From tea sets and bonsai trees, to silk kimonos and pearl jewelry – Japan’s stores have authentic Japanese merchandise in every price range.
