What's a "Hidden Mickey"?
(And where do you find them?)

The first "Hidden Mickeys" were created by the Imagineers as an inside joke. Most of them were based on the 3-circle Mickey icon.

While building or creating some sort of Disney magic, an Imagineer would hide a "Mickey" in the construction materials or a painting. People started to notice them and keep track of the ones they found. Now "Hidden Mickeys" are incorporated into almost everything Disney builds.

Many are still the original Mickey icon, but there are other hidden shapes too. One favorite is Mickey's profile but there are profiles of Goofy, Donald and other characters too.

The (Top Secret) Hidden Mickey Files

	Animal Kingdom: In "Rafiki's Planet Watch." Inside the building there's an enormous mural featuring hundreds of animals. It's packed with Hidden Mickeys. Tip: Pay special attention to the eyes.

	Can you spot the "Hidden Mickey" in this picture? You'll find this butterfly in the mural in the Conservation Station (Rafiki's Planet Watch.)

	In Animal Kingdom's Theater playing "Finding Nemo", look at the bubbles around the stage. On the bottom, left side of the stage, you'll find a Hidden Mickey.

No Photo Available	Blizzard Beach: Take the chair lift to the top of Mount Gushmore. Near the top, look down. You'll see 3 perfectly round rocks that make a Hidden Mickey.

	While you're on safari (Kilimanjaro Safaris) in the Animal Kingdom's you'll pass Flamingo Island. The island is a giant Hidden Mickey.
