Busch Gardens has
SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE

Busch Gardens has beautiful gardens -true. But it's really a theme park that's surrounded by beautiful gardens.

How does it compare to Disney World?

They don't have Mickey Mouse and his cartoon pals. Themeing for the attractions is not as complex. So Busch Gardens is different.  But it's still a great place to visit and they even surpass Disney is some areas!

Firstly - it's not as expensive or as crowded. In my opinion, the food is better and less expensive and they often schedule terrific special shows that are included in the price of admission. We've seen Jack Hannah and The Lettermen.  They were both great shows and the theater is small enough that you really feel close to the performers.  Then - they have the performers return to the stage to meet, answer questions  and take photos with the audience.

Busch Gardens has something for everyone:

  • For young children:  There's a separate play area called "Land of the Dragons." It has scaled down rides and single-gate access for security.

  • There are also kiddie rides in Timbuktu.

  • For less adventurous kids & teens:  There are bumper cars, water rides, spinning rides, 3-D shows and play places.

  • For thrill-seeking teens:  They have 3 of the fiercest, top-ranked roller coasters in the world!

  • For Adults:  They provide free (full-sized) samples of their extraordinary beers.

  • For the cost-conscious:  They provide refillable popcorn tubs and drink & slushy cups and actually encourage you to bring them back for inexpensive refills on your next visit.

  • For the weary: Line-ups are shorter and the Sky Ride & train help eliminate some of the walking.

  • For bird and animal-lovers:  There are lots of opportunities to get up-close and personal with birds and wildlife.

  • For Arm-chair Explorers: You can tour a replica of King Tut's Tomb
