Hidden Mickey
Look for Mickey as you leave Catastrophe Canyon – on the left side of the vehicle- in the rocks.

Recognize this?
This is one of the “skull balls” from “Pirates of the Caribbean – Dead Man’s Chest"

The Disney-MGM Studios Backlot Tour
The Backlot Tour is one of those attractions that just go on and on – in a good way. You really get your money’s worth (or you would if you’d paid a separate admission fee to this attraction.)

First you walk onto a set where they’re ready to record an action scene starring selected audience members. Those new cast members react as they’re shot at, pummeled with water and (nearly) scorched by an explosion!

When that show is over, the rest of us get to watch the playback with a few added features. But that’s not all!

Then everyone walks through one of the props warehouses. If you’ve done this before, you’ll notice that now they’ve added labeling and barcodes to the props. (Can you imagine what they’d bring on Ebay?) But that’s not all!

Then everyone boards a tram for the real backlot tour.

You’ll see vehicles from some of your favorite movies, get a glimpse behind-the-scenes in the costuming department – and maybe even see what goes on behind the scenes of the “Lights. Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show!”

Just when it seems your tour is ending, the guide gets the green light to take you onto a working set called Catastrophe Canyon. You may get a little wet (or toasted) before you move on!
